On this page, a block shows all posts in the Events category. Right now, I’ve simply used to date of the post as a stand in for the event date, but there are other ways of approaching evenst (eg plugins).

Ideally, there’d be one block with upcoming events with date > today and another block for past events (date < today). But this block only allows for filtering by category and tag, not by date. So I’ll have to come up with something a little more clever to achieve the two separate block setup… Perhaps simply add a tag after the date passes, or moving the post to a different category (upcoming events > event reports)?
